Summary of Mary Kom Movie::
Mary Kom is an upcoming 2014 Indian biographical sports drama film directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali on a story and screenplay written by Saiwyn Quadras. Rob Miller of ReelSports, the sports action director for Chak De! India and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, coordinated the sports action sequences for the film. Based on the life of the Indian boxer Mary Kom, the film stars Priyanka Chopra in the lead. Minakkshi Kalitaa, Shishir Sharma and Zachary Coffin also star. First look of the movie unvield on 15 July 2014 by Priyanka Chopra. The film is scheduled for release on 5 September 2014.
The teaser opens with Mary (Priyanka) entering the boxing ring and a few of her punches are shown. The raw energy of the trailer is catching, the gritty portrayal showing another facet of Priyanka the actor.
Based on the life of Olympic medal-winning pugilist Mary Kom, the movie is directed by debutant Omung Kumar.
Talking about Priyanka portraying her on screen, the boxer had said earlier, "She is a simple and dedicated person. I can relate to her. I’m sure she will do a great job."
Mary Kom is slated to hit theatres on September 5.
