The Equalizer is upcoming English movie. In this movie Denzel Washington plays Robert McCall, a former black ops commando who has a secretive past and comes out of retirement to save a young girl from Russian gangsters. Washington is at his strong, quiet and deadly best here, wreaking havoc on the bad guys and looking cool as a cucumber doing it, thanks to director Antoine Fuqua’s signature action sequences.
The film marks the first time Washington has reteamed with Fuqua since 2001’s Training Day. Given that Washington gained a Best Actor Academy Award as a result of that collaboration, it’s no surprise that The Equalizer is already producing Oscar buzz for the star. The Oscar-nominated actor says of Robert in the video: ‘He’s trying to do better, and I think people will relate to that.’
Robert spends his days as a apparently unassuming staff member in a DIY store, but as the clips shows, he’s got a very specific set of skills.
