Lingaa is an upcoming Tamil film directed by K. S. Ravikumar. The film features Rajinikanth,
Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha in the main roles with Santhanam and Karunakaran in supporting roles. Jagapati Babu and Dev Gill portray the antagonist roles. The soundtrack album and background score for the film was composed by A. R. Rahman.
Superstar Rajinikanth is back after a brief hiatus. The first look of this next Tamil film ‘Lingaa’ is
finally out. This will be his second release after the much hyped Kochadaiyaan. Lingaa’s first look
featuring the superstar was released on social media platforms on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
Lingaa has the best of everything - KS Ravikumar helming the project, Rajinikanth as the hero and
AR Rahman on music. 'Lingaa' has progressed at phenomenal speed and is complete, but for a couple of songs, which will soon be shot abroad. The crew will leave the country shortly for this shooting.
If stunt choreographer Lee Whittaker revealed on his social network that the climax fight scene of this film is nothing like anything witnessed earlier. He says that it is the best sequence in his
career, with some of the most dangerous stunts in action, and all of it was meticulously planned and
it has come out bewitching. The film is scheduled for a release on 12 December 2014.
