The Golden Era is an upcoming Chinese drama film directed by Ann Hui and starring Tang Wei and Feng Shaofeng. Wei plays the lead role as the 1930s author Xiao Hong, one of the most important female writers in contemporary China.
The film "the Golden Era" is set in the 1920s and 30s of China. Feng says it's a charming period to him, as well. Everyone bears hardship, pain, sadness and joy. But light exists in everyone, which makes them unique and charming.
While acting in the film, Feng is totally immersed in his role. He enjoys forgetting about goals, depression and relief. To Feng, acting in a role is like a long dream he is reluctant to leave.
Feng plays Xiao Jun, a Chinese writer and main character of the film. The star-studded cast includes actresses Tang Wei and Hao Lei, along with actors Wang Zhiwen and Wang Qianyuan.
